Child Tax Credit Update Portal

  • Check if you’re enrolled to receive advance payments.

  • Unenroll to stop getting advance payments.

  • Provide or update your bank account information.

  • IN COMING MONTHS, the IRS will update the portal to be able to:

  • Make changes to your dependents, marital status, and income.

  • Re-enroll if you previously unenrolled.

HOW TO USE CTC UPDATE PORTAL:

1. Click, “Manage Advanced Payments”

2. Sign In or Create a New Account

a. If you DON’T have an existing IRS username or ID.me account, have your photo ID ready to CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.

b. If you DO have an existing IRS username or ID.me account, they will send you a text message to CONFIRM YOUR EXISTING ACCOUNT.

3. From here follow the on screen instructions to login or create account.

4. Once Logged in you will be able to Manage your Payment & Options.
