Managing your taxes just got a little more convenient!

The IRS has launched a new mobile app, replacing the former IRS2Go app with expanded features that make it easier to access important tax information right from your phone.

Here’s a quick look at what you need to know!

What Can You Do With the New IRS App?

The app provides convenient access to select features of your IRS Individual Online Account, including:

  • Check Your Refund: Track your federal tax refund status.

  • Make Payments: Make tax payments and review payment activity.

  • View Tax Information: Check available balances, tax records, and transcripts.

  • Access IRS Notices: View certain IRS notices and letters.

  • Protect Your Identity: Retrieve your Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN).

These tools can help you stay organized and keep up with your tax responsibilities throughout the year!

How Do You Get the App?

The app is free for Apple and Android devices.

  • New users: Download it through the official Apple App Store or Google Play.

  • Existing IRS2Go users: The new app should arrive through your normal app update process if automatic updates are enabled.

For official information, visit the IRS mobile app announcement.

A Quick Reminder About Tax Scams

Stay safe when accessing your tax information!

  • Download the app only through official sources.

  • Avoid suspicious links in unexpected texts or emails.

  • Never share sensitive information through questionable websites or messages.

When in doubt, go directly to IRS.gov.

We’re Here to Help!

While the new app makes accessing certain tax information easier, it doesn’t replace professional tax preparation or personalized guidance.
